The hilariously funny Roger Hall musical comedy comes to Dolphin!
Two hopelessly hopeful writers, he, John a biography writer with dreams of literary glory and women falling at his feet and she, Mary his assistant with dreams of blonde-bearded blue-eyed poets, realise their current project just isn’t paying the bills.
In an act of fiscal desperation, both, unknown to the other, reach for that never-fail money spinner - pulp romance writing.
Armed with their guides to romance writing, their stories take form, their characters burst off the page and onto the stage and take you on a parody of every single cliché of the Romance genre.
Young Love, Modern Love ... Super Desire! – if life, love, and laughter is what you’re after you’ll love 'Love Off The Shelf'!

Comments by the playwright!
Music and musical numbers very well done; it was such a pleasure hearing those songs again after a gap of several years. Ah, those virgin slopes! (among others)
Great costumes
Great vamping
The great pace of the show--everything kept moving along so well.
And a great pleasure to see how much everyone was enjoying themselves on stage.
Have a great season
