Pitching, Presenting and Closing Deals

Pitching a work to, a theatre or a festival director, requires a set of skills unique to the Performing Arts Industry, and are usually honed over time through experience.  This seminar will take a closer look at what some of these skills are and common issues to be aware of both in New Zealand and internationally.

Suitable for Producers, Arts Managers, Artistic Directors, and Choreographers.

The seminar will cover:  

  • What information do presenters (theatre and festival directors) need to know to present work
  • How to present this information
  • When and how to approach them
  • Common issues, and details to be aware of
  • Negotiating and closing the deal
  • Are there different ways to approach New Zealand and International presenters
