The Big Halloween - Mad Hatter's Tea Party
Is there an air of malice in Wonderland? The Big Halloween will bring Civic Square alive with crazy characters and peculiar people, while around every twisted corner the Queen of Hearts' army will be there to keep an eye on proceedings. For the courageous and curious, the Mad Hatter will be hosting a Topsy Turvy Tea Party inside Capital E, featuring a performance of Through the Glass Looking by Awkward Productions and the Wellington Youth Circus. There will be Halloween short films in the McKenzie Theatre by Square Eyes - New Zealand Children's Film Foundation, and in Civic Square you’ll find teacup amusement rides, garish games, ludicrous live music, and lots of nonsensical fare. We especially want to know whether you’ll dare to ‘Eat’ or ‘Drink’ at the trick or treat booths. Follow the rabbit’s paw prints into Civic Square, and remember, “Don’t be late!”
