Critical Response Process
The ability to give and receive critical feedback is an essential skill for any teacher, performer, or student looking to improve performance ability in themselves, peers or students. Learn how to give and receive constructive critical feedback in a Performing Arts Context; based on the Critical Response Process as created by renowned American dance artist and choreographer Liz Lerman.
This process was designed to allow for critical feedback while keeping the artistic vision and control in the artist’s hands.
Please note: In response to high demand from school dance teachers, this seminar has been timed during the school holidays to enable teachers to attend.
The seminar will cover:
• an overview of the Critical Response Process
• the importance of feedback in the classroom, and studio
• peer-to-peer coaching strategies using the CRP
