COLLIDEOSCOPE Nga Taonga a Whatu

Saturday, October 29 marks the career start for 28 graduands of the Bachelor of Creative Technologies Degree from the Wellington Institute of Technology.  To celebrate their first burst of success and to prepare for public comment, the students are holding an exhibition at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts Galleries, at Queens Wharf, Wellington.

The exhibition will present a diverse range of creative skills including Interior Design, Visual Arts, Photography, Print Publication, Film and Digital Animation. The students have chosen to call the exhibition COLLIDEOSCOPE - a name that captures the nature of their work, a collision of diverse scopes that come together as a unified front.

Wellington Institute of Technology students pride themselves on their collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to creativity.  Their projects are the result of a mixed disciplinary process.  Students stand by this process of creative practice and are excited to share their values with Wellington’s creative community and those interested in new and emerging talent.

This exhibition is an important addition to tertiary level graduation exhibitions in Wellington held in a venue that is the envy of many.
