Garden Discovery and Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition
Whangarei's Garden Discovery and Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition both run over 3 days next weekend (24 to 26 Feb) in celebration of the subtropics.
Whilst we've been bemoaning this ghastly wet summer, the subtropical gardens of Whangarei District have been relishing it. You now have the rare opportunity to visit 24 of the area's luxuriant, private gardens; Take pleasure in these outstanding examples of creativity and hard work; Enjoy meeting the owners, who will happily share some of their knowledge with you. - All for less than $1 per garden.

Between 24 and 26 Feb, 90+ sculptures in all types of media will add an even more entrancing air to the Gardens. Created by 31 local artists, many with national renown, the exhibited art is all for sale at very reasonable prices, starting under $100 up to $6,500.
