New Zealand School of Dance
The New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD) is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s leading dance conservatoires. Established in 1967 it has become New Zealand’s foremost tertiary training establishment for contemporary and classical dancers. Approximately seventy students at any one time study full-time preparing for careers as professional dancers. The aim is for graduates to enter the Royal New Zealand Ballet or a major contemporary dance company.
