As the principal advocate for the professional interests of writers, the New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc) is open to writers of every genre, published or unpublished.
The NZSA has around 1200 members whose work represents a wide range of genres from adult and children's fiction to poetry, plays, non-fiction, freelance journalism, management, academic and spiritual writing. The NZSA actively encourages membership from writers at all stages of their careers.
