Sculpture in the Park: People’s Choice

The annual “Sculpture in the Park” exhibition finished with the presentation of ABN AMRO Craig’s People’s choice award to the winning artist.

Many of the 2500 visitors to the exhibition voted for their favourite sculpture during the course of the event.  Votes were widespread reflecting the huge variety of opinions which the exhibitions at the Park stimulate.

The winner of the ABN AMRO Craigs People’s Choice award for 2009 is Ian Boyle for his work called ‘Aspiring’.

This sculpture was constructed on site and fits well with its surroundings in a glade of Tasmanian blackwoods set within a stark, undulating landscape.    It can be viewed at the Park for the next few months along with the E:SCAPE exhibition currently being installed.
