Comedienne Sarah Harpur wins BEST COMEDY
On Sunday 27 March at a glitzy award ceremony somewhere in the Octagon, comedienne Sarah Harpur received the award for BEST COMEDY at the Dunedin Fringe Festival for her show Harpur’s Bizarre: Immortal Combat, which is performing at the Fringe Bar in Wellington as part of the Comedy Festival this May.
“I am rather chuffed to win this award, I am really excited by my new show and am delighted that it has been so well received,” says Harpur.
Frozen brains. Obsession with fame. Cancer the Musical. It's IMMORTAL COMBAT! In her show you meet Sarahtron 4 million (who died in 2011 and was stored in the freeezer next to the peas and her granddad) as she gives you glimpses into the future of humanity and life extension.
“Sarahtron 4 Million just told me from the year 4542, that winning this award was the last thing I did before I died in the year 2011, so I am a bit nervous as well.”
Also congratulations to the talented Harpur for receiving an award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at the LA Webfest (USA), for her role in the online web series 101 Dates.
Quite a big week!
As Harpur states on her blog “Bloody marv!”
