AFFIRM celebrates its ten year anniversary, continuing its family day programme despite the
surrounding eastern Suburbs of Aranui, Bexley and Wainoni being amongst the hardest hit by
Christchurch’ earthquakes.
“ontinuing on with the festival is an important part of Aranui’ recovery. We’e still here. We want
the whole of Christchurch to come over to the east?side to enjoy the family fun day. AFFIRM is
always a big day for Aranui but after the year we’e had, we want everyone to enjoy the festival.
Everyone deserves it.”Ladi 6 was born and raised in Aranui, and is no stranger to celebrity status being the cousin of
Christchurch’ premiere Hip Hip artist Scribe who played at AFFIRM back in 2005.
AFFIRM starts on Saturday 3 December at 9.30am with all day featuring entertainment from local
primary schools, Te Kotahitanga Kapa Haka Group, breaking crew Common Ground, local hip hop
