The Mixing Room

PATRICK – YOUTH CONSULTANT & NEW DAD! Patrick is from Sudan and made a film in a performance workshop for The Mixing Room exhibition.  Make sure you check it out when you visit us here on Level 4, at Te Papa

ABDALLA – YOUTH CONSULTANT & WRITER Abdalla has loyally been attending the fortnightly Mixing Room meetings at Te Papa since the beginning.  He attended two workshops -  the poetry workshop and the film making workshop here in Wellington.. You can see his work in the exhibition ‘The Mixing Room, stories from young refugees in New Zealand’

PA – YOUTH CONSULTANT Pa likes to teach young people her traditional Myanmar dance and hang out with her friends.

TEREFE – MIDDLE DISTANCE RUNNER & ALL ROUND TOP BLOKE When not running, he is studying international relations, and hopes to give back some day to others who have come from a similar background.

FARAH -  YOUTH CONSULTANT & NEW NEW ZEALAND CITIZEN Farah is a freelance photographer, film maker and actor. He’s always been passionate about film and acting and has just moved to Auckland where he is going to University to study his passion.

ANITA – YOUTH CONSULTANT & MATHS WHIZZ Anita was born in Afghanistan but  grew up in Iran and has been in NZ for nearly 4 years now.
