Knitty - with little purls of wisdom
Knitty is a website for many things handcrafted - patterns, yarn and great articles - it's more a publication for community. Like The Big idea, they depend on daonations and I love this site. If you are a designer you can submit patterns for publication.
The site is read and watched by people from crafting communities all over the world.

Margaret LewisIts not just about fashion. I live a life surrounded by textile - in particular wool. Its in my room, in my car, on my desk at work... Designing handknits and selling them is not my sole source of survival but it is what I love. I'm lucky that this love is supported by other things that I love, including working for The Big Idea and also helping to facilitate the careers of emerging artists. I feel truly blessed.
