WHAT IS CCD?

Community cultural development (CCD) is a term used to describe the philosophies, practices, intentions and outcomes of community-based cultural and artistic practices. CCD is also known as socially engaged arts practice, participatory arts, community arts and ..... art! CCD provides communities with the chance to express themselves through culture and contribute to building a shared identity, sense of place and belonging. CCD activity is often led or facilitated by artists or cultural workers.
