Youth Mentor Programme
The NZ Society of Authors is offering 3 places for Year 12 and Year 13 students to be mentored by a well-known YA author.
Each mentorship will be 10 hours long, and will take place during Terms 2 and 3, 2010.
Ideally, nominated students will have a project they would like to develop. Students are nominated by their English teacher or Head of Department.

The NZ Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc) is the principal advocate for the professional interests of New Zealand's writers. Protecting basic rights to freedom of expression, working to improve income and conditions, promoting New Zealand writing and literary culture.

We also run member only programmes such as our mentor programme,manuscript assessment programme and a manuscript appraisal service; administers awards and fellowships; provide advice on aspects of publishing including contracts.
