3D boredom buster for the holidays
3D Animation training at the right time for families with teenagers on holiday! For those dreading what the school holidays may bring – don’t worry, there is now both an entertaining and educational course that will make the most of a week of the holidays.
Due to incredible demand Lifeway College’s 3D Animation Short Course is back. The course consistently attracts students from around the Rodney region, as well as people from Auckland and beyond, who are taught the skills to make their own short 3D movie during the 5 days. The course teaches students the basics of what is used in real production to form the movies, TV shows and other visuals we all enjoy with the real tools of 3D Animation.
Those interested in Animation taking the course should be prepared for five intensive days, learning the basics of Autodesk’s world renowned 3D package ‘Maya'. Students will have a go at modeling (building in 3D), lighting (simulating real world light), rendering (outputting images from the computer) and key frame animation (bringing lifeless objects to life with movement), and to top it all off, students will complete the course by working on their own animated project to take home with them!
