Sandy Rodgers
History and Place-Mixed Media workshop–30th and 31st Jan 2010
During this workshop you will produce two mixed media works relating to a personal connection with the Wellington region. Participants will create their pieces with a sense of narrative, carefully layering pages of text and images with archival tissue. Working over this in graphite, water based inks and watercolours to produce detailed imagery which will then be coated in shellac. This particular technique of layering is prolific in the artists own works and gives a sense of age & historic value to the pieces created.
