Arts.Biz Workshops
The Waikato Society of Arts is offering a series of workshops for artists who want to develop their creative output into a business and career. This will be in partnership with Arts.Biz Ltd (www.artsbiz.co.nz)
Arts.Biz™ Ltd* will conduct 3 three hour workshops to help artists in the Waikato develop business and career skills for their creative practice. The workshops will be managed by WSA and held in the WSA Printroom at Arts Post over three Thursdays (6 – 9 PM) commencing on Thursday 27 May.
The workshop facilitators will show you:
• how to cope with aspects of running a business from home
• identifying the skills needed to be a professional artist
• develop a career plan with clear goals and strategies
• how to utilise information technologies (website including the WSA website, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, etc) to your advantage
• develop an IT plan for your art business
• understanding tax, GST, ACC and how to manage your money

Non members :$60/workshop $160/3 workshops
WSA members :$55/workshop $140/3 workshops
As each workshop builds on previous work, we would encourage participants to attend the entire 3 workshop series. Nevertheless, workshops will be designed so that artists can attend only topics specific to their current situation if required.
