Artrageous 2010 promises to challenge, amuse and enthral, judging by the exhibition titles.

With intriguing titles like Stiletto, Gumboot and a Jandal and Money in my Pocket and My Clothes are Clean, visitors to the annual showcase of Whanganui UCOL’s artistic community are in for a treat.

Graduation exhibitions in fine arts, glass, computer graphic design and a spectacular graduation fashion show at the Royal Opera House will feature the students’ many and varied talents.

A Bourgeois Spectacle: From 6 November
The Bachelor of Fine Arts Graduation Exhibition is the culmination of four years of study and countless hours in the studio for the students. Their works will be displayed in the Edith Gallery and locations around the UCOL campus.

Stiletto, Gumboot and Jandal: From 6 November
The Federal Gallery will host the works of the Graduate Diploma – Fine Arts students.

In Transit: From 6 November
The graduands of the Diploma in Glass Design and Production showcase their works at the Federal Gallery.

We made it: From11 November
An exhibition of works created by Certificate in Art and Design students.

Frock Up & Enjoy: 12 November
The Whanganui UCOL School of Fashion students will have their time in the spotlight at their end of year show on Friday 12 November at the Royal Opera House.

Computer Design

Whanganui School of Design students completing Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design with Honours and Bachelor of Computer Design will hold their exhibits from 9 - 19 November in the Community Arts Centre and the UCOL Atrium respectively.

The month long celebration of graduate talent will also include exhibitions by other media students studying creative programmes at Whanganui UCOL.

First and second year Bachelor of Fine Arts students will exhibit in Painting (Painting Won and Worlds), Photography (Young Debonairs) and Sculpture/Video (The Video Show). The third year Bachelor of Fine Arts will show under the evocative title Money in My Pocket and My Clothes are Clean.

Second year Diploma in Glass Design and Production students will exhibit in their show Centred.
