Biting the Big Apple: When you're a freelancer finding work is hard work but are there some projects that just aren't worth taking?  Should morals and ethics be considered when you take a job?

Ila Couch in New York asks her friends and colleagues what they think about turning down work for ethical reasons.

Mark Amery: Visual Arts - While writers seem to get away with writing one great novel or play in five, we seem to have a terrible propensity to write off a visual artist based on a single encounter.

Yet most artist’s careers will be based not on delivering to familiar expectations, but on always traveling into uncharted territory, whilst following coordinates that are distinctively their own. The risk of being disappointed by one of your favourites with new work is always sizeable.

"And so it comes to be that, when I finally get to write about the work of Rohan Wealleans - after years of seeing one knockout show after another - I leave feeling let down."

Sets and The City: James Hadley in London reviews Simon Stephens' play 'Pornography' - the first major script to deal with the 7/7 bombings.

TBI Q&A: Italy's theatrical maestro Ferruccio Soleri has donned the costume of Harlequin (Arlecchino in Italian) more than 2000 times in the past 49 years and says it is the relationship with the audience that continues to move him.

“Every time I play Arlecchino it’s a new emotion."

Win Tickets: Go into the draw to win a double pass to Harlequin: Servant of Two Masters.
