What's the best way to support the arts? In an innovative first for the ASB Community Trust, it is connecting with the arts community on The Big Idea's SoundOut forum to explore new ways to fund the arts.

The Trust is reviewing its arts funding policies in Auckland and Northland and wants to learn about other funding models and uncover innovation from within New Zealand and around the world. This is a unique opportunity to have your say and hear back from the ASB Community Trust Arts Grants Advisor Catherine George.

You don't need to live in Auckland or Northland to participate, the forum is for anyone who would like to share their ideas and ultimately influence how the Trust funds the arts in the future. The forum is open until October 28, so join in now to have your say.

    Wellington playwright Ken Duncum has won the 2010 New Zealand Post Mansfield Prize. The $100,000 Prize is the most valuable international residency programme for New Zealand writers and enables them to work at the Villa Isola Bella in Menton, France, where famed writer Katherine Mansfield lived and wrote in 1919 and 1920.
