Under the Mountain: Courtesy of Flicks.co.nz, we have a behind the scenes interview with the makers of Under the Mountain, the big screen adaptation of Maurice Gee's classic Kiwi novel.

Director Jonathan King says he was determined to remain true to the story's 'Kiwiness'.

"There are just the tiniest little things - you wouldn't even notice really, but there's a couple of times where we have Sam Neill say 'Rangitoto Island'. Just little things like that."

The Auckland-set adventure-fantasy is out now in cinemas across New Zealand.

The Year Collides: Though he envisaged something different at the start, when he looks back at the year of The Creative Collide, in some chaotic and unstructured way Philip Patston feels he's achieved what he set out to do. Because he said so.
