Cultural Storytellers: What is the place of migrant stories in our literature?  Back from 'holiday', Renee Liang interviews Croatian-Kiwi playwright Donna Banicevich Gera and finds some answers - and a lot of energy.

Visual Arts: Mark Amery says with summer seemingly cancelled for the Wellington region, The NewDowse’s programme in Lower Hutt has been one true hot spot.  “It’s inspiring to enter an art museum full of adults and children engaging with bright, adventurous art and design that feels very much of its cultural moment.”

TBI Q&A: Chris Prowse talks about writing and producing Trouble on the Waterfront, a musical snapshot of New Zealand’s divisive 1951 waterfront dispute.  Win a copy of the CD -  use the comment box to go into the draw.

Auckland Performing Arts Forum: Notes from the forum, held on 30 October 2009, are online now. Read the notes and continue the conversation on The Big Idea’s Creative Discipline forum.
