KAPA HAKA Close up Te Waka Huia

This exhibition at Lake House Arts Centre in Takapuna showcases Kapa Haka as it has not been portrayed before - up close and personal.

Kathrin Simon's photographs, taken over several days during the 2009 Te Matatini festival build up, allow a rare and exclusive glimpse behind the scenes of Aotearoa's national champions Te Waka Huia and focus on their dedication, cameraderie and passion.

Feel the wairua, te kotahitanga me te whanaungatanga through the eye of the photographer.
