Festival of Art and Creativity (+video)

The Learning Connexion had an awesome day on Saturday 6 March for our Festival of Art and Creativity, despite threatening rain clouds and a couple of early brushes with drizzle!

Joining together with practicing artists from across the Hutt Valley, we had loads of fun making, playing, looking, eating and listening to some of the fantastic acts on the day.

Watching the children fill the UV glow zone with fluro flowers was delicious and a thrill for both adults and children. Some choose to meander through the‘sculpture walk’ forest path which was relaxing, you didn't know what you might find around the next corner!

We were blessed with a variety of performers including Taita College Barbershop Boys, Poppy Dust, spontaneous poetry and Certificate student Benedict Quilters Art noise rock band !

We extend a huge ‘thank you’ to creative communities who helped fund the day, to all those who took part, visited or helped in some way to make the day as special as it was.
