Dunedin Fringe: Alfonsina

Alfonsina

Alfonsina is a comic depiction of a young Argentinean woman who leaves her family to search for a better life. Alfonsina is the heroine clown who cannot avoid trouble.

Escaping the harsh suburbs of Buenos Aires and arriving in downtown Auckland, she finds a cleaning job. All goes well until she is asked to show her work permit.

Alfonsina was one of the highlights of Wellington Fringe Festival 2010 and was praised by the audience and critics:

"Excellent direction and three superb performances from the cast"

(Ewen Coleman - THE DOMINION POST)

"Fluid ensemble work and impeccable timing"
