Les Kidams - Eighth day

On the 24 of September at 1.30pm, the day of the much anticipated All Blacks versus France match, a New Caledonian street art company Les Kidams will perform their latest show, free of charge, for New Zealanders and overseas visitors to the Auckland Viaduct.

Giant puppets, stilts, dance and theatre all feature in Eighth day, a fable that deals with the fate of climate refugees.

Audience members are encouraged to participate in the story-telling so that both actors and spectators can share in a powerful visual experience.

Taking part in Les Kidams’ latest creation provides participants with the opportunity to reflect upon man’s relationship with his environment, a subject relevant to people from countries all around the world in New Zealand especially for the Rugby World Cup.
