Name: Amy Church
A bit about: I am an artist and environment designer and I call myself that because I would like my paintings and artworks to be much more than just a picture on the wall but to create an environment and atmosphere as well.
I started my own business last year and have mostly focused on murals for schools and playground design but I am looking to branch out into installations for businesses and set design.
I have always been painting and creating in various forms and have spent my life practicing what I do and exploring new techniques and possibilities. I love to be busy and challenged and also to teach.
Big Idea: My big idea is to create scenes of wonder. I really love dramatic and fantastical movies like 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Mr Magoriums Wonder Emporium' and 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'. I would love to make very 'imaginary' things real and tangible so we can all experience something a little magical in our everyday life and reignite our imaginations.
However big or small the project I believe with a little detail and care everything can be magical from a full scale production to the rituals of a cup of tea.
