A bit about

Buster Collins is a unique contemporary jewellery label from Wellington silversmith Annie Collins.

Annie has been producing work for galleries, shops and exhibitions for a number of years as well as teaching classes from her studio at Toi Poneke Arts Centre.

She believes jewellery should be fun, beautiful, wearable and individual. It is both a statement and a precious gift.

Some recent successes include Thought and Memory (Toi Poneke Gallery, August 2009), The Gallery of Oddities (Christchurch Buskers Festival 2010 and Wellington Fringe season 2010 ) , Shine (Paramount Cinema, May 2008) and Alter + Ego (Wellington Fringe season 2010.)

Annie is a creative director for Workspace Studios in Toi Poneke: The Wellington Arts Centre. Workspace is committed to supporting emerging jewellers by providing them with rental space, tools and classes. Workspace is also organises events such as the boutique jewellery sales “Jewels for Christmas” and “Winter Jewels”.

Big Idea

Merging jewellery with fashion, sculpture and performance. It should be on the body not locked in a cabinet!
