Hi,
I'm a New Zealander, currently living in Ireland since 1995. I have a background in research science (I worked at Ruakura as a microbiologist for 7 years) before leaving to live in Dublin in 1995. I have since then completed a BA, then MA in Fine Art (new media) in Dublin 2002.
In 2010 I have begun a PhD artistic enquiry into artists experimental film and ecology at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin, Ireland. If you are interested, my work can be found at www.ecoartfilm.com
My work has developed over a number of years and I find the projects I work on have a strong ecology-science-art theme.

While I have set up my practice in Ireland I am hoping to share my work in New Zealand at some stage.
I am interested in the increasing dialogue occurring between the arts and ecology/science in Europe and I am keen to contact others in NZ with similar interests.
I am also involved at an international level in raising awaressness about cultural policy and climate change. I was previously the website coordinator for http://www.culturefutures.org. Arts practitioners and cultural institutes are welcome to join to learn more about this area.
