Centre of Contemporary Photography NZ is a diverse photography resource center and hub for photography enthusiasts, professional, amateur and student photographers and people that enjoy of photography.
Through a full roster of course, exhibitions, contests, artists’ lectures, portfolio reviews, and more, CCP makes a wide spectrum of enriching photographic opportunities available to the community.
Our broad curriculum is made up of beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes. From technical classes on creative topics, to alternative processes, documentary photography, and marketing for the fine-artist, the Centre has a regularly evolving variety of educational courses and events to choose from.
It is hoped that the Centre will mount 4 exhibits annually. Artists will be showcased in solo or group shows with the occasional juried exhibition. Curatorial emphasis is placed on modern, fine-art and documentary photography. It will included the work of emerging as well as established artists. The gallery is free and open to the public.

CCP is an educational and cultural non-profit organisation, dedicated to promoting photographic education and appreciation, to the public, as well as providing a space where photo enthusiasts can learn, create, discuss and show their work.- Big Idea
