A bit about

Chamber Music New Zealand is this country’s largest presenter of top quality chamber music concerts throughout New Zealand. Our activities are divided into three strands: the Concert Season, which showcases top international artists; our Regional Concerts, with a focus on New Zealand performers; and the New Zealand Community Trust Chamber Music Contest, which fosters the musical stars of the future.

Binding these strands together is a strong commitment to New Zealand music and musicians which has led to many specially commissioned works from New Zealand composers and the promotion of New Zealand performers.

CMNZ is a not for profit organisation and receives major funding from Creative New Zealand.

Big Idea

To develop, nourish, and support New Zealanders to create and experience live chamber music. We are the portal through which new work and distinctive performances are presented with our vibrant network of partners.
