I currently own a company called Radio in Schools New Zealand Limited www.radioinschools.webs.com which is one of my two outlets to express my passion for mentoring youth.

Radio in Schools is designed to support the New Zealand curriculum through assessment activity in the context of radio .
In other words - I set up an LPFM radio station with digital audio production studios on site at a school, train the station operations team of students and staff and work with the school to link the station to radio contextualised assessment activity.

I am also currently the head of Radio -Audio and Media at Future Skills Academy in Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand.

I have designed and i am delivering an NZQA accredited Level 2 Course for youth with low or no foundation skills under the youth guarantees scheme.

I have designed an NZQA accredited course around the National Certificate in Radio (Level 3) 69 credits for delivery in 2012.

I am also an active radio announcer (my first passion) as host of the Mai FM Network Saturday show 10am - 3pm and an active Television Voice (Now that's what i call music TVC franchice) - www.bigdtalent.webs.com

I have two daughters and i am married, living in Mangere, Auckland.

Big Idea

Create an opportunity for New Zealand secondary schools to use LPFM radio technology and digital audio production technology as the context for assessment in order to capture the interest of secondary education students. I currently have 2 stations with a working model at Otahuhu College and Western Springs College and another station due to go to air at James Cook High School in 2012.
