Feather is an Auckland based production company designed to meet the needs of modern video and publishing.
Given that anyone can produce a 20 second video that has the potential to be seen by anyone in the world means the traditional production process and pricing structure is obsolete.
We are looking for ideas, not whether you have $cashmonies$ to put them into action.
We want ideas that don't have a tight deadline, we want feather to be an exercise in efficiency and calculation.
Half-formed ideas are welcomed, too. We consider having a role in the direction of your project as a privilege, and a large part of payment.
We are skeptical about the social media explosion, which we consider a bubble. However rather than write it off, we want to understand how it can be used effectively, instead of having a presence for the sake of it.
Likewise, an outright quest for viral status is unpredictable, costly and foolish. Can you actively produce viral content? Of course, but it's a massive gamble.
We seek to provide 'popular' content, that has a targeted audience. Imagine a video with just 1000 views, it doesn't seem like many. But what if those views had been driven by just one specific source. What if those views were from opinion leaders?
As well as good ideas, we are also looking for people working in film, sound, writing and marketing to join our team and be involved in projects.
