Name
FLEET FM
A bit about

* FLEET is a low powered radio station, web site, event coordinator, and music & cultural appreciation collective. The studio has been located in various residential and commercial properties around Symonds St, Auckland, New Zealand, since July 2003.

* FLEET is a non-profit registered community trust. We are not partnered with any Public National Broadcasting system, nor owned by a university.

Big Idea

* 100% DJ choice - There are no play lists, heads of programming, or top ten songs enforced on the hosts of shows. It's free form status reinforces a strong will of making a different radio station, broadcasting uncharted music offered by enthusiasts, independent promoters and musicians. Thanks to the passion and integrity of DJs and their complete involvement in the programming of the shows, fleet has a unique flavour, showcasing genres and areas of musical interest not broadcast anywhere else.

* Innovation - FLEET is dedicated to innovation regardless of commercial viability. we feel it is important to carve your own path and set your self apart form the herd, in this way experimenting and trying new things that can optimise our operation. This has revealed itself through the use of cutting edge internet technology along with (potentially redundant) Lo-Fi technology, as well as lateral ways of promotion and event planning.
