A bit about

Media, music and craft are my creative things.

For the telly, I produced both seasons of New Artland, a really wild commission-based series for TVNZ 7 in which Chris Knox follows the journey of leading NZ artists and their big art ideas from germ to unveiling. It's made by F.A.T. Productions.

I contract to the Gibson Group in Wellington, where I've taken drama, comedy and feature film ideas and egged them gently along the development path, as well as engaging in unit publicity on many of their drama productions. Also for Gibson Group I've produced TV One's arts current affairs show, Frontseat (which ran from 2004 - 2007) and a comic rockumentary for TV3, Flight of the Conchords: A Texan Odyssey.

I've made a bunch of radio docos in the past, and I regularly dissect the odd stories of the week with Te Radar on Kathryn Ryan's Nine to Noon show. As a result, a rural radio host once described me as a 'sit-down comedian'. Hmm.

Together with my friends Fraser Brown and Paolo Rotondo, I took my sister Jolisa's short story Dead Letters to the big screen as a
NZFC-funded short film (it screened at the Mill Valley and Telluride Film Festivals). Plans for more films are afoot.

And... there's the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra. Which I love. To bits. As well as playing and singing with them, I do a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff, including production on our music videos.

Sometimes, I make 1950s style half-aprons and hang them on walls.
