Name: Hadley Fierlinger
A bit about: Director of Bigwerk: With a background in design Hadley Fierlinger has always been interested in the process of creative exploration in education. When her oldest son started Montessori Preschool 12 years ago, she worked as an active Trustee of the Montessori Trust at Otari in a Marketing and PR role as well as working along side teachers developing creative activities for children including a gardening programme. In 2011 Hadley launched Bigwerk.com which is currently developing creativity programmes for children in the Wellington region. In 2011 Hadley started a chapter of the FIRST LEGO League in Wellington and is the Regional Co-coordinator working with Vic University to host international Robotics events for children ages 9-16. Hadley is also a Member of the “Wellington Makers”. In 2001 Hadley started baby knitwear brand Shescrafty.com and went on to publish Vintage Knits for Modern Babies in the US with Random House in 2009. She has an BS in Industrial Design from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia.
