Jam Radio is based in Devonport, at the Depot Artspace. We’re an online creative audio bank - this is not your average radio station.
All the programmes made in the studio are uploaded to www.jamradio.co.nz and they are there for everyone to listen to, anytime they like...
- Big Idea
• Encourage aspiring voices and creative people to express themselves through a new medium.
• Represent the local community and addressing their needs, issues and culture through their creative input and involvement.
• Create programmes with distinctive content, exploring ideas, issues and musical genres.
• Build links between the arts world and audio media.
• Provide better opportunities for those already established whose particular art form is underrepresented.
• Provide technical support to those wanting to get started in radio but who have no access to resources, or simply require support to put their ideas into action.
• Use the internet to share and showcase the work of our community.
