Mardo El Noor

A bit about

the 34 year old German-born, Jordanian-raised Kiwi is a graphic artist, filmmaker & musician. His first animated short film 'In The Name of Art' was screened at 20 film festivals in four continents including SITGES Film Festival (the biggest fantasy film festival in the world).

He was signed by EMI (Dubai) in 2000, & have released four music albums since then. He attended School of Art and Design at AUT, receiving a first class with honours MA degree in 2008.

Big Idea

My work tends to be multilayered, highly stylised, & flowing with details. I'm interested in creating artworks of underlying meaning that can be grasped by anyone with some mental work, without having to have a degree in art.

My passion is to create art that screams with originality, which could backfire sometimes, but I'd rather fail in originality than succeed in imitation.
