A bit about

HI there!
I am a recent Cut Above Academy graduate looking for work as a make-up effects or theatre make-up artist.

I am a quiet person with a good sense of humour. In my spare time I like to write, paint, draw, watch movies (and behind the scenes featurettes) and spend a lot of time on the internet learning new things, looking up useless information or playing computer games.

I also enjoy activities like Sword-fighting, paint-ball, riding my motorbike.

I spend most of my life in Jeans and a t-shirt. I am casual, open-minded, relaxed and honest.
I like to work hard and I love learning. I want to be the best at what I do... I am always looking to learn new things that interest me.

I am determined to work in the film industry. My primary skill area is Make-up effects, but I also have camera, directing and writing skills. I would also love to get into producing and casting. I LOVE working with actors. They are amazing people.

Big Idea

My big idea:
I have so much I want to do.
While Make-up effects are my primary skill area, I also like theatre make-up, directing, working behind the camera and writing. I love working with actors and would love to get into producing and casting as well.

I also have my own personal project I am working on. Its currently in its final draft phase:
I have a story I wrote when I was 17 that I would love to turn into a movie. A Tarantino/Peter Jackson inspired film about women in prison. I am a big fan of b-movies and I can see this becoming a 'Death Proof'/'Chained Heat'/'Once were Warriors'-like film with very strong female characters. After I have completed the final draft, I will be turning it into a screenplay and then beginning the pre-production process.

I have so much I want to do. I really am passionate about the movie industry. Most aspects of it interest me, especially working with actors, creating props, sets or art.

I am always interested in hanging around on set and watching or participating. I enjoy sharing my skills and helping out. NZ's film industry is growing and we are a talented bunch. I am definitely going to be a part of it!
