Name: Nicholas Rogan
A bit about: I'm an Auckland-based musician who specializes in sound design, improvization, musical virtuosity, and technical understanding. My style is well-suited for soundtracks and ambiance.
I lead an electronic freeform audiovisual band called Undrawing. This band explores the creation and development of musical and visual ideas from minimal preconceived ideas. It is also a study into real-time sound design.
I have created music my whole life, mostly specializing in piano. I studied jazz at the University of Auckland.My talents span from pianistic skills to understanding functionality of electronic equipment.
I worked in corporate and home audiovisual installations for 4 years. Primarily as control system designer and programmer. Also assisted with cable installation and connection soldering. Also was responsible for master system schematics and user manuals.
I am open to collaborations of all sorts. Mostly I will be suited as a composer, producer, or performer. But I am open to sound recording roles, or anything that challenging and unique that requires my professional work ethic and knowledge. I will consider projects that are for love and / or money.
