postmoderncore is a New Zealand-based independent label. postmoderncore has spent most of its 5 year existence as a solely web based label.
postmoderncore is my protest against copyright and the idea of music as a commodity. I decided that the best method for sharing the music and accompanying art with its audience was to offer free downloads over the internet. I also wanted to reach a wide and international audience.
postmoderncore has mp3s for download, cd-Rs for sale, and art galleries to browse. it represents a number of musicians and groups. it also hosts websites for other artistic endeavours.
postmoderncore now has more than 50 albums for download, including a retrospective compilation highlighting music released from 1999 to 2004. it also now has releases representing international artists from japan and korea.
