Te Kupenga Stone Sculpture Society is a unique community organisation which aims to preserve, teach and share the art of hard stone carving using Taranaki andesite.
- Big Idea
Next Event - 2012 Te Kupenga Stone Sculpture Symposium - Seriously Hard Rock. A symposium help from Dec 26th 2011 till January 21st 2012. 25 Artists will carve andesite boulders on New Plymouths scenic foreshore is full public view, culminating in an exhibition and auction on Saturday 21st January. Currently seeking carvers from around New Zealand to apply.
