• Party on Pembroke Park after the parade - This year we have music and entertainment as well as an opportunity to view and enjoy the floats at an after parade party on the park.
• Big Game on the Big Screen – Sunday night we will be showing the big game in our marquee. - Big Idea
The Wanakafest Community Trust is a Charitable Trust that exists to hosts a Wanaka community festival that is available to all, family-friendly, fun, entertaining and most importantly gives back to the Wanaka Community.
The Trust also aims to identify and fund development projects that give back to the Wanaka Community. Our vision is that every 2-3 years the festival incorporates a major fundraising event, such as the 2009 Stonewood Homes House Build. Funds from the festival fundraising activity go back into the community. For example: In 2011, we supported and are helping build the Wanaka Springs Water Feature Project in conjunction with the Wanaka Springs Community Trust on the Lake Front.
