Name: Yaniv Janson
A bit about: I am a contemporary New Zealand artist inspired by the works of Hundertwasser, Matisse and Monet. My last international exhibitions were at the Galerie Celal in Paris, Le Vieux Forgeron in Stanstead, Canada and the Creative Growth Center in Oakland, USA. In April 2011, I was the youngest artist invited into New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts.
Big Idea: I seek to surprise and having surprised, ask my audience to visualise another era – that of post-climate change. In so doing I aim to help raise awareness about environmental and sustainability issues using aesthetic channels of communication.
