I am a recording artist based in Dunedin. I work under the 'Crude' moniker and have had albums released on Flying Nun and various US labels . I sell my most recently recorded work via my web-site's mail-order catalogue.

To an ever increasing degree my music and aural experiments are produced, groomed and disseminated digitally. I received a creative new zealand grant to perform in new york city in 2006.  My recordings are informed by the traditions of free jazz, noise, electronic music, dark ambient, musique concrete and lo-fi rock. Recent works are often freely available via the crude web-site.
