Each piece in the Wrought Collection has been aptly named after iron working techniques, giving character to the pieces that were inspired by the beauty of wrought iron. "I loved the organic shapes (of wrought iron) combined with industrial materials. They created a wonderful tension between nature and man-made design. I aimed to reflect that balance in a wearable way, with a contemporary material." The necklaces make a statement with their larger than expected pendants, which contrast with delicate and intricate earrings.

Primarily begun as a personal creative outlet for designer Karen Hermon, her strong graphic design background is evident in every range.
Every piece is designed, laser cut from acrylic and hand assembled locally in central Wellington. taprobane jewellery is now sold online, in retail stores within New Zealand and the US, and at high quality markets in the Wellington region.
