Music workshops at Wesley Community Centre

In 2007 I brokered a sponsorship deal between the Wesley Community Trust and Musicworks (my favourite Auckland music store!)
Musicworks donated a huge instrument library to the community!
We ran free music workshops at the Wesley Community Centre as part of 'Our Street'. These workshops produced an awesome band called BOW: Band of Wesley. BOW is made up of young people who are experienced musicians and young people who had never picked up an instrument before. BOW continue to perform their unique blend of reggae pop rock!
My favourite BOW song is ‘Polynesian Woman’ by Shane Akuloa.
Free youth guitar workshops are now also available at the centre twice a week.
