{theme from lanyop}

{lanyop} lagniappe small art gallery is a not-for-profit conceptual artspace in dunedin. larry matthews is a poet, musician, designer, artist and sometimes magician. this piece {theme from lanyop} is often played as background music while there are visitors in the exhibition/gallery space viewing the current work or show. viewing work at {lanyop} is done only by candlelight...making for a more intimate visual connection to the work viewed.

the improvisation/composition {theme from lanyop} has emerged from many many improvisations and 'garageband' recordings (mostly unheard by anyone other than myself)...

I am hoping to make a recording of {theme from lanyop} with violin, piano, and cello as soon as possible - as 'I can hear it in my head' but have only attempted a jam session with a violin and myself at the piano...

a few people visiting the gallery have said 'you should write music for movies'. . . I would love that opportunity . . . others have asked if I have a CD (which I do not) and so . . . with this small sample of one piece . . . I share with you something I enjoy . . . playing the piano . . .
