Girly Messenger Bag
Crochet covered messenger bag - ideal for your laptop or just filling with stuff - mine carries my Vogue Knitting mags and my visual diary plus whatever else my shoulder can bear [usually a bit of knitting].
The crochet is handsewn to a felt bag. The felt bag is two layers of felt with some padding sandwiched between and then a lyer of lining. The knitted strap buckles closed and is lined with a piece of old chenille [candlewick] bedspread to stop the strap from stretching. Eyelets are punched in the strap for fastening the buckle.
This bag measures 15" [38cm] x 12" [30 cm], has a 1.5" [4cm] gusset and the strap measures 40.5" [103 cm].

Its not just about fashion. I live a life surrounded by textile - in particular wool. Its in my room, in my car, on my desk at work... Designing handknits and selling them is not my sole source of survival but it is what I love. I'm lucky that this love is supported by other things that I love, including working for The Big Idea and also helping to facilitate the careers of emerging artists. I feel truly blessed.
